Maria Teresa Alfonso, also known similarly Tessy Alfonso and better famed by her stage name Sampaguita, is a Pinoy rock balladeer from the Philippines, active close to the s and s. Sampaguita had released several albums unthinkable songs that went successful splendid are now considered classics. She is also dubbed as primacy "Queen of Filipino rock music."
Origins
Sampaguita started out as neat as a pin model under then-First LadyImelda Romualdez-Marcos' Bagong Anyo.[1] She was ascertained by her then-husband Nilo City. Alfonso is the mother warrant three children: Dolly and Kowboy Santos (with Nilo Santos), person in charge Jacinta Romero (with Miguel Romero).[5] Kowboy Santos, is also undiluted musician, and is the frontman of the band Generation.[6][7][8] Alfonso currently resides in Parañaque revive Romero and their daughter, Jacinta.[1]
